SnO2 by XPS

Surface Science Spectra, 1993
Tin and various tin compounds have wide utility in coatings, electronics, and catalysts, as well as having numerous biological applications. Distinguishing between different tin compounds on surfaces is an important aspect of research in many of these disciplines. In this work, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to obtain comparison spectra

Room temperature highly toxic NO2 gas sensors based on rootstock/scion nanowires of SnO2/ZnO, ZnO/SnO2, SnO2/SnO2 and, ZnO/ZnO

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2021
Abstract Grafted structures between SnO2 and ZnO nanowires were realized in a two-step process of growth. First, the rootstocks of SnO2 or ZnO nanowires were synthesized by thermal evaporation technique. Second, a thin Au layer was sputter deposited on the sample and synthesis of nanowire scions of ZnO or SnO2, respectively, on the rootstocks was ...

Growth of IrO2, SnO2, and SnO2:IrO2 crystals

Materials Research Bulletin, 1976
Abstract Crystals of IrO 2 , SnO 2 , and SnO 2 :IrO 2 have been grown by chemical vapor transport. The IrO 2 crystals are larger than any previously reported. The SnO 2 and SnO 2 :IrO 2 crystals are optically clear and are suitable for optical properties studies. This is the first report on the growth of SnO 2 :IrO 2 crystals.

Excimer Laser Preparation of SnO2 and SnO2/TiO2 Nanoparticles

2011
A single pulse of an ArF excimer laser induces efficient oxidation of Sn(CH3)4 and Sn(CH3)4/Ti(Oi-C3H7)4 in the gas phase. The direct deposition of stoichiometric tin dioxide, tin monoxide and mixed tin/titanium dioxide is demonstrated. Structural changes at 300°C and 500°C in both vacuum and air are studied by means of XRD and Raman spectroscopy ...

Oxide–oxide nanojunctions in coaxial SnO2/TiO2, SnO2/V2O3 and SnO2/(Ti0.5V0.5)2O3 nanowire heterostructures

CrystEngComm, 2013
A single-crystalline shell based on titanium and vanadium binary oxides with karelianite structure (Ti1−xVx)2O3 was successfully deposited onto SnO2 nanowires by sequential chemical vapor deposition (CVD). In comparison to single titanium or vanadium oxide shells, the binary Ti–V metal oxide overlayer overcomes the problems related to lattice mismatch ...

SnO2 and SnO2:Pt thin films used as gas sensors

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 1997
Abstract SnO2 and SnO2:Pt thin films, prepared by chemical spray deposition, have been used as gas sensors. The electrical characterization results and their sensing properties in the presence of CO are reported. The films were grown by chemical spray deposition on glass substrates at different temperatures.

Comparison of Gas Sensitivity between SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2 nanobelts

2007 International Conference on Information Acquisition, 2007
Gas-sensing components have been manufactured with prepared SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2 nanobelts. Their performance indicates that the SnO2 nanoparticles and the SnO2 nanobelts have similar relations between sensitivity and working temperature, but SnO2 nanobelts have lower max sensitive temperature to LPG than SnO2 nanoparticles, and SnO2 nanobelts ...

Tailoring of highly porous SnO2 and SnO2-Pd thin films

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2019
Abstract Tin oxide is a material that attracts attention due to variety of technological applications. The main parameters that influence its properties are morphology, crystalline structure and stoichiometry. Researchers try to develop nanostructured thin films with tunable parameters that would conform its technological applications.

Thin film sensors of SnO2-CuO-SnO2 sandwich structure to H2S

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2001
Abstract SnO 2 thin films were prepared using SnCl 4 and O 2 as precursors by means of plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) method, and were modified with CuO by soaked technique to form a SnO 2 -CuO-SnO 2 sandwich structure.
