A single-crystalline shell based on titanium and vanadium binary oxides with karelianite structure (Ti1−xVx)2O3 was successfully deposited onto SnO2 nanowires by sequential chemical vapor deposition (CVD). In comparison to single titanium or vanadium oxide shells, the binary Ti–V metal oxide overlayer overcomes the problems related to lattice mismatch ...

SnO2 and SnO2:Pt thin films used as gas sensors
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 1997Abstract SnO2 and SnO2:Pt thin films, prepared by chemical spray deposition, have been used as gas sensors. The electrical characterization results and their sensing properties in the presence of CO are reported. The films were grown by chemical spray deposition on glass substrates at different temperatures.

Comparison of Gas Sensitivity between SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2 nanobelts
2007 International Conference on Information Acquisition, 2007Gas-sensing components have been manufactured with prepared SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2 nanobelts. Their performance indicates that the SnO2 nanoparticles and the SnO2 nanobelts have similar relations between sensitivity and working temperature, but SnO2 nanobelts have lower max sensitive temperature to LPG than SnO2 nanoparticles, and SnO2 nanobelts ...

Microstructure and properties of Ag–SnO2 materials with high SnO2 content
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2014Abstract The microstructure and properties of Ag–SnO2 materials with high SnO2 content were investigated. The microstructure, physical properties and arc erosion behavior of Ag–SnO2 materials with high SnO2 content were studied. The results showed that the Ag–SnO2 materials with high SnO2 content show homogeneous microstructure with high hardness and

Preparation of SnO2 nanorods by annealing SnO2 powder in NaCl flux
Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2002SnO2 nanorods having the rutile structure have been prepared by annealing fine SnO2 powder in a NaCl flux. The starting SnO2 powder, the NaCl flux, and surfactant NP9 were mixed and heated at 800 °C for 2.5 h. The nanorods have diameters of ca. 20–40 nm and lengths of up to 1 μm.

Silver layer instability in a SnO2/Ag/SnO2 trilayer on silicon
Thin Solid Films, 2012Abstract Trilayers of SnO2/Ag/SnO2 deposited on oxidized Si (100) substrates at room temperature become unstable after annealing at 100 °C and 200 °C, exhibiting five phenomena – formation of internal Ag hillocks, cracking of the top SnO2 layer above internal Ag hillocks, penetration of Ag/Ag grain boundaries by SnO2 leading to grain pinch-off ...

Optical Properties of SnO2 and SnO2:F - An Experimental and Theoretical Approach
2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC), 2019Thin films of SnO2 (TO) and SnO2: F (FTO) were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrate. The UV-visible spectra show well-defined interference fringes and an average transmittance in the visible region of about 74 and 81% for TO and FTO, respectively.
