In the aftermath of the 2020 U.S. election, the boundary between activism and extremism blurred, with election officials reporting violent threats and false accusations of election fraud. From a symbolic interactionist perspective, these attacks provide a unique lens for examining the consequences of being falsely labeled a criminal.

Types of Struggles in Disrupted Interaction: A Case of Hard‐of‐Hearing Employees
Everyone experiences disrupted interactions in their everyday life. However, research indicates that people with functional impairments are particularly exposed to patterns of interactional inequality at work. Despite this, little is known about the specific disrupted interactions in everyday life and the various types of interactional struggles this ...

The chapter analyses snow cover data for 60 weather stations in Poland: 52 series for the period 1950/51–2017/18 (68 winter seasons) and eight longer series of 80 to 104 winter seasons. Two basic characteristics of snow cover were examined: snow cover duration and seasonal maximum depth of snow cover.

Snow and Snow-Cover in Central Northeast Greenland
2008Publisher Summary This chapter discusses snow and snow cover in central Northeast Greenland. In most high-arctic regions, like Zackenberg in Northeast Greenland, virtually all vegetated areas are snow covered most of the year because of the presence of vegetation.

The Andes Cordillera strongly determines Chile’s biophysical conditions. Spanning the entire length of the country, this mountain range’s interaction with the atmosphere dominates regional hydroclimates, from the high-plateau fed groundwater systems in the country’s arid north, through the snow-dominated catchments in the Mediterranean central region ...

Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows the snow cover data, referring primarily to the presence and total depth of a snow cover on the surface of the earth, across Canada. This is in contrast to data characteristics of snow cover depth, which increases by the occurrence of freshly fallen snow, but decreases ...

Contained within the 4th Edition (1974) of the Atlas of Canada is a collection of five maps. Two maps show, for fertile regions, the average date of the last frost in spring and the average date of the first frost in autumn. The three remaining maps show the median depth of snow cover at a scale of 1:35 000 000 for all of Canada in inches for the dates

[Proceedings] IGARSS'91 Remote Sensing: Global Monitoring for Earth Management, 2005
A snow model that supports the daily, operational analysis of global snow depth and age has been developed. It provides improved spatial interpolation of surface reports by incorporating digital elevation data, and by the application of regionalized variables (kriging) through the use of a global snow depth climatology.
