In this chapter an investigation is made of the apparent limit on the obtainable SNR of a 1-bit look-ahead sigma-delta modulator. The outcome of this investigation is that there is a point of maximal noise shaping, which depends on the filter order.

An investigation of SNRs in the magellanic clouds—SNR B0450-708 and SNR B0455-687

A reduced complexity SNR estimator
IET Conference Publications, 2009This paper presents a novel reduced complexity SNR estimator, whose performances are comparable with the maximum-likelihood estimator while saving one half of the floating point multiplications and one third of the floating point sums. Improved SNR Estimation Algorithm
2017 International Conference on Computer Systems, Electronics and Control (ICCSEC), 2017As for several NDA SNR estimation algorithm for QPSK signal, their SNR estimation performance is poor. This article puts forward an improved low complexity SNR estimation algorithm to improve the SNR estimation range and accuracy. The mean, bias and variance of the new algorithm are simulated.

Coherent snr estimator performance

VTC2004-Fall. 2004, 2005Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is an important system parameter in mobile communication systems and other advanced communication systems. Coherent and noncoherent SNR estimators can be used to dynamically estimate SNR. In this paper, a coherent SNR estimator is proposed and its performance is provided.

Abstract We present the results of hard X-ray emissions from the shell of supernova remnants (SNR) revealed with the ASCA imaging and spectroscopic observations. The hard X-ray spectra and morphologies are consistent with synchrotron emission from extremely high energy electrons of 10–100 TeV.
