Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Emission characteristics of CO, NOx, SO2 and indications of biomass burning observed at a rural site in eastern China [PDF]
Atmospheric O3, CO, SO2, and NO* y (NO* y ≈ NO + NO2 + PAN + organic nitrates + HNO3 + N2O5 + ⋯) were measured in 1999-2000 at a rural/agricultural site in the Yangtze Delta of China.

Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Respiratory health among professionals exposed to extreme SO2 levels from a volcanic eruption
OBJECTIVE: The Holuhraun eruption of fall and winter 2014–15 produced large amounts of sulfur dioxide (SO_2). The aim of this study was to determine if exposure to extreme SO_2 levels affected the health of individuals working at the eruption site ...

Gastric cancer‐derived exosomal TAGLN2 is identified as a key mediator of vascular reprogramming, with significantly elevated levels detected in patient serum. Independent of canonical SEMA4D signaling, it nucleates a cytoplasmic TAGLN2/NRP1/SEMA4D ternary complex that dually activates YAP, promoting angiogenesis, vascular dysfunction, and metastasis ...

SO2 on Io: A thermodynamic perspective [PDF]
The presence of condensed SO2 on Io mandates a finite abundance of SO2 vapor which must be present, regardless of plume activity. The absorption of SO2 was measured on particulate sulfur and the equilibrium between absorbed SO2, SO2 vapor, and SO2 ice ...

Global Analysis of Solar Neutrino Oscillations Including SNO CC Measurement [PDF]
For active and sterile neutrinos, we present the globally allowed solutions for two neutrino oscillations. We include the SNO CC measurement and all other relevant solar neutrino and reactor data. Five active neutrino oscillation solutions (LMA, LOW, SMA,
