During the period from 1974 to June 2000 we used the straight ileo-anal Soave pull-through to treat 42 patients (24 affected by total colonic aganglionosis [TCA], 10 with ulcerative colitis and 8 with familial polyposis). The aim of this paper is to show that this operation, associated with total colectomy, is highly recommended, causing a lower number

One-stage versus two-tage Soave pull-through for Hirschsprung's disease in the first year of life
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1996Several investigators have reported good results after a one-stage Soave procedure without a stoma for infants with Hirschsprung's disease. The authors reviewed their concurrent experience with the one- and two-stage approaches, comparing the two groups with respect to rate of complications and clinical outcome.

Neonatal Soave endorectal pull-through for Hirschsprung's disease.
South African journal of surgery. Suid-Afrikaanse tydskrif vir chirurgie, 1999In October 1994 we changed our management of neonatal Hirschsprung's disease from a staged procedure after initial colostomy to a neonatal single-stage Soave endorectal pull-through (SERPT) without a colostomy. We report on our experience with the first 12 neonatal SERPTs, comparing them retrospectively with a consecutive series of 12 patients managed ...

Since Hirschsprung's disease (HSCR) already proved to benefit from robotic surgery, we aimed at describing a wider series of patients with this rare disease who were operated on with a robotic approach. All consecutive HSCR patients who underwent totally robotic soave pull-through (TRSPT), between October 2015 and June 2019, have been included.

Pull-through procedures remain the mainstay of treatment for Hirschsprung disease (HD). While laparoscopic-assisted procedures are widely performed, robotic-assisted Soave pull-through (RSPT) has emerged as a minimally invasive alternative with potential technical advantages.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the postoperative clinical outcome, colorectal function, and fecal continence score after Soave's transanal endorectal pull-through surgery (TERPT) for Hirschsprung's disease (HD) comparing them in preschool and school children with the results of younger children.

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine and compare functional outcomes of single stage transanal endorectal pull-through (TAP) and staged Soave procedure. Methods: Medical records of 41 patients (28 males, 13 females) who were operated on for Hirschsprung's disease between February 2004 and March 2007 were reviewed retrospectively.
