SOC Estimation for Battery of Electric Vehicles
2022Accurate estimation of the state of charge of batteries is critical for the reliable operation of battery packs, not only in electric vehicles, but also in hybrid electric vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles and smart grid systems. In this study, a model based on the Bagging-Random Forest approach is proposed to predict the value of the state of charge ...

Kalman Filter SoC estimation for Li-Ion batteries
2011 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2011State-of-Charge (SoC) estimation is a key factor for correct and safe battery management, particularly for the development of the Battery Management System (BMS) [1]. The paper deals with this problem for the currently most promising technology in the battery filed: Lithium-Ion batteries.

On-line SOC Estimation of Battery for Wireless Tram Car
2007 7th International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2007SUMMARYWireless tramcars (battery‐driven tramcars) are developing to the actual application stage. The most important information to be considered while operating a wireless tramcar is the state of charge (SOC) of the battery. The purpose of this study is to develop an online method for SOC estimation.

On the analytic accuracy of battery SOC, capacity and resistance estimation
2016 American Control Conference (ACC), 2016The Cramer-Rao bounds for battery state of charge, capacity and resistance estimation are derived in this paper. Independent of any specific form of observers, the bounds explore the quality of the data collected for estimation and indicate the best achievable accuracy of any (unbiased) estimator under measurement noise.

High-Level Energy Estimation for ARM-Based SOCs
2004In recent years, power consumption has become a critical concern for many VLSI systems. Whereas several case studies demonstrate that technology-, layout-, and gate-level techniques offer power savings of a factor of two or less, architecture and system-level optimization can often result in orders of magnitude lower power consumption.

A single-point EIS measurement for SOC estimation of supercapacitor
2025 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC)A proper estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of an energy storage device plays a vital role in the efficient management of the battery system. In this research article, the SOC of a cylindrical hybrid supercapacitor (4000F, 4.2V) has been accurately estimated using a gaussian process regression (GPR) model and a post processing unit.
