The relationship between ethical climate and organizational cynicism: mediating role of match and identification with the organization

open access: yesScientific Reports
Depending on its type, the ethical climate of an organization has either beneficial or detrimental effects in the workplace. However, there is a lack of knowledge about the role of employees’ attachment to the organization and the coherency of values ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Determination of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid in the sweat of healthy older adults

open access: yesScientific Reports
3-Hydroxyanthranillic acid (3HAA) is one of the key metabolites from the tryptophan (TRP) metabolism pathway and is associated with aging, age-associated diseases, and healthy lifespan extension.

The Relationship Between Organization in Time, Executive Functions, and Quality of Life in Adult ADHD

open access: yesBrain Sciences
Background/Objectives. Despite the importance of organization-in-time ability for adults’ daily performance, knowledge about this ability in adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) remains limited.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Effectiveness of Intervention Strategies to Increase Adolescents’ Physical Activity and Reduce Sedentary Time in Secondary School Settings, Including Factors Related to Implementation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

open access: yesSports Medicine - Open
Background Globally, just one in five adolescents meet physical activity guidelines and three-quarters of the school day is spent sitting. It is unclear which types of school-based interventions strategies increase physical activity and reduce sedentary ...
