World Wide Web, 2011Similarity breeds connections, the principle of homophily, has been well studied in existing sociology literature. Several studies have observed this phenomenon by conducting surveys on human subjects. These studies have concluded that new ties are formed between similar individuals.

Although textbook-based recitation persists in social studies classrooms, textbooks are not a ready mechanism for reform.

2015I have no idea how to begin. I am a teacher. I have been teaching for 15 years. I am not capable of writing as an academic and so you will notice that I break all the rules of formal essay writing. Yet, for this treatment, I believe there is real value in not steeping myself in the language of academia.
