Homogeneous Symmetrical Threshold Model with Nonconformity: Independence versus Anticonformity
We study two variants of the modified Watts threshold model with a noise (with nonconformity, in the terminology of social psychology) on a complete graph. Within the first version, a noise is introduced via so‐called independence, whereas in the second version anticonformity plays the role of a noise, which destroys the order.

Abstract This paper argues that a systems' thinking and explicit modeling approach is needed to address noted weaknesses (in terms of practicality and usefulness) in integrated water resource management. A process of coupling complex regional land use, economy, and water system interactions in integrated modeling is demonstrated with proof‐of‐concept ...

Complexity of a Microblogging Social Network in the Framework of Modern Nonlinear Science
Recent developments in nonlinear science have caused the formation of a new paradigm called the paradigm of complexity. The self‐organized criticality theory constitutes the foundation of this paradigm. To estimate the complexity of a microblogging social network, we used one of the conceptual schemes of the paradigm, namely, the system of key signs of

Empirical Analysis and Agent‐Based Modeling of the Lithuanian Parliamentary Elections
We analyze a parties’ vote share distribution across the polling stations during the Lithuanian parliamentary elections of 1992, 2008, and 2012. We find that the distribution is rather well fitted by the Beta distribution. To reproduce this empirical observation, we propose a simple multistate agent‐based model of the voting behavior.
