Reply to J.W. Van Hoorn “Some observations with respect to sodicity hazard of irrigation waters”
International audienceIn the comments "Some observations with respect to sodicity hazard of irrigation waters", Dr. Van Hoorn opened a constructive discussion about the assessment of sodicity hazard of soils subjected to irrigation in arid or semi arid ...

Irrigation management strategies for improved salinity and sodicity control [PDF]
An integrated approach is developed to assess a priori the effects of irrigation management interventions on soil salinity, sodicity and transpiration. The approach is tested for a 75,000 ha irrigation system in Pakistan, where canal and groundwater are ...

ABSTRACT Plants are important sources of bioactive compounds that contribute to nutrition, health maintenance, and disease prevention. In this study, the chemical composition and antioxidant potential of essential oils obtained from Lavandula angustifolia “Sevtopolis” and Lavandula × intermedia cultivated in the Silivri region of Istanbul were ...

Abstract Triassic pseudosuchians had highly diversified cranial morphologies. These archosaurs occupied diverse ecological roles, ranging from terrestrial predators and herbivores to semiaquatic ambush predators and possible waders. Here, we apply linear cranial morphometrics to assess possible convergences with other sauropsids from the clades ...

Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

This study firstly isolated a tuna‐derived gut probiotic Acinetobacter seifertii YFT067. Dietary administration of YFT067 played significant roles in promoting growth performance, SCFAs production, lipid absorption, and metabolism of the host, indicating YFT067 as a promising probiotic candidate for enhancing tuna aquaculture productivity through ...
