Facile Synthesis of Polyaniline−Sodium Alginate Nanofibers
Langmuir, 2006This work demonstrates a facile route to the synthesis of large quantities of uniform polyaniline-sodium alginate (PANI-SA) nanofibers template-guided by SA. This approach is an easy, inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and scalable one-step method to produce uniform nanofibers with controllable average diameters in bulk quantities.

[Trypsin interaction with sodium alginate].
Prikladnaia biokhimiia i mikrobiologiia, 1976The formation of an insoluble product of the interaction of trypsin and sodium alginate at pH 3-9 was studied. The optic density of the system was in an extreme relation to the composition. The insoluble phase was enriched in trypsin. The dispersion phase formed as a result of the electrostatic interaction between alginate macroanion and trypsin ...

Sodium alginate as a mould release agent
Biomaterials, 1985The use of sodium alginate as a mould release agent during the casting of epoxy or polyester resins in plaster moulds is discussed. The optimal concentration of a retarder is determined, taking into consideration the setting behaviour and the adhesive bond strength.
