Calcium bentonite vs sodium bentonite: The potential of calcium bentonite for soil foundation [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Today: Proceedings, 2022
Abstract Bentonite is a favourable candidate as a sealing material in the deep geological repository to safe storage of highly radioactive nuclear waste in several countries. The high swelling characteristic made bentonite famously type of clay that extracted from smectite group with the main mineral is montmorillonite that has a double diffusion ...

THE ADSORPTION OF VITAMIN A BY SODIUM BENTONITE

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Biochemistry and Physiology, 1954
A study has been made of the reaction whereby a blue adsorption complex is formed when an organic solvent solution of vitamin A is added to sodium bentonite. In addition to a physical adsorption of the vitamin on sodium bentonite a chemical alteration occurs in the vitamin A molecule which results in the formation of anhydro vitamin A.
