Hydrothermal Synthesis of Sodium Bismuth Titanate Ferroelectrics
Inorganic Materials, 2020We have studied phase formation processes during sodium bismuth titanate, Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT), synthesis under hydrothermal conditions at a temperature of 230°C for 24 and 48 h using stoichiometric mixtures of titanium oxide and bismuth hydroxide and NaOH solutions in the concentration range 5–30 M.

Preparation and Properties of Lead Free Bismuth Sodium Titanate−Bismuth Zinc Titanate Ceramics
Ferroelectrics, 2009Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics based on (1–x)Bi 1/2 Na 1/2 TiO 3 – x Bi(Zn 1/2 Ti 1/2 )O 3 (x = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, 0.40, and 0.5) were obtained via solid-state processing techniques. The influence of BZT addition on BNT characteristics, sintering, microstructure and properties was investigated.

Peculiarities of phase transitions in sodium-bismuth titanate
Ferroelectrics, 1980Abstract The ferroelectric properties of (Na0,5Bi0,5TiO3) single crystals are studied. It is found that some physical characteristics possess a large temperature hysteresis in the temperature range 200 – 300°C. The nature of that hysteresis is discussed.

Hydrothermal Synthesis of Sodium and Potassium Bismuth Titanates
Chemistry of Materials, 2000A thermodynamic model of electrolyte solutions has been used as a tool for equilibrium calculations in the Na−Bi−Ti−H2O and K−Bi−Ti−H2O systems. To perform the calculations, unknown standard-state properties for Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT), K0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (KBT) and other solid compounds that exist in these systems were established.

Hydrothermal Synthesis of Sodium Potassium Bismuth Titanates
Ferroelectrics, 2015(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 (BNT) is an excellent candidate lead-free piezoelectric material system. This study prepares BNT ceramics using the hydrothermal method at 180°C with an NaOH concentration of 12 M. The effect of potassium content on the crystal structure of the ceramics is studied.

Sodium Bismuth Titanate-Based Ceramics
2011Dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties including phase transition temperatures of perovskite-type bismuth sodium titanate, (Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3 [BNT]-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been reviewed from the results obtained by our group being superior candidates for lead-free piezoelectric materials to reduce environmental damage.
