Field-induced strain behavior for potassium sodium bismuth titanate ceramics

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2007
Data are reported for the dielectric, piezoelectric, electrostrictive, and ferroelectric properties of potassium-substituted sodium bismuth titanate, [(K(x)Na(1-x))(0.5)Bi(0.5)]TiO3. For the morphotropic phase boundary composition x = 0.2, relaxor-type behavior was observed at room temperature with piezoelectric (effective d(333) = 325 x 10(-12) m/V ...

Phase transitions and soft modes in sodium bismuth titanate

Ferroelectrics, 1985
Abstract The results of experimental studies of the crystal and domain structures of NaO, 5BiO, 5TiO3 as well as its lattice dynamics, dielectric, optical and other physical properties are considered. Nature of peculiar temperature points is discussed.

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF LANTHANUM DOPED SODIUM BISMUTH TITANATE

Modern Physics Letters B, 2002
Impedance spectroscopic studies on polycrystalline sintered discs of lanthanum doped Na 1/2( La x Bi 1-x)1/2 TiO 3 ceramics with x = 0, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2, have been carried out in the temperature region ranging from room temperature to 550°C and in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 1 MHz. Impedance data is presented in frequency explicit plots and Cole–

Substitutional effect of bismuth ferrite on the electrical properties of sodium bismuth titanate ceramics

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2015
Lead free sodium bismuth titanate ceramics was substituted with bismuth ferrite in low mole fraction and the influence of substitution on the dielectric constant, Curie temperature, depolarization temperature, remnant polarization, coercive field and piezoelectric coefficient were studied. Rhombohedral R3c symmetry is maintained for all mole fractions.

Structural Optimization of Bismuth Sodium Titanate Thin Films

Ferroelectrics, 2015
Lead-free ferroelectric oxide materials have attracted considerable attention from the environmental viewpoint. Among lead-free piezoelectric materials, bismuth sodium titanate (Bi0:5Na0:5TiO3) is considered to be one of the excellent candidates.

Hydrothermal synthesis of bismuth sodium titanate particles with different morphologies

Journal of Materials Science, 2013
Nanostructured Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 particles have been synthesized by a hydrothermal synthesis method using a layered titanate H1.07Ti1.73O4·nH2O as a Ti precursor. The obtained Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 particles showed different morphologies including plate-like, wire-like, and cubic-like structures in different hydrothermal conditions.

Effects of dysprosium oxide addition in bismuth sodium titanate ceramics

Journal of Electroceramics, 2007
This research focuses on the preparation and characterization of dysprosium-doped bismuth sodium titanate (BNT) ceramics. The compounds were prepared using the conventional mixed-oxide method. The amount of dysprosium oxide used was varied from 0 to 2 at.%.

Defect Chemistry of Sodium Bismuth Titanate and its Solid Solutions

2020
In this work, the perovskite structured system Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) and its solid solutions (1-x)(Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3)-xBaTiO3 (NBT-BT), (1-x)(Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3)-xSrTiO3 (NBT-ST) and [(1-x)(1-y)(Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3)-yBaTiO3)]-xCaZrO3 (NBT-BT-CZ) have been investigated. In detail, the impact of A-site non-stoichiometry and B-site doping on the electrical, dielectric,
