Enhanced Performance of Gold Nanoparticle-Modified Nickel–Iron Coatings for Sodium Borohydride Electrooxidation

open access: yesCrystals
The Ni-Fe coatings modified with AuNPs were deposited on the flexible copper-coated polyimide (Cu/PI) surface using electroless metal plating, while the galvanic displacement technique was applied to modify the surface of NiFe coatings by a small content

DNA‐Origami‐Assembled Rhodium Nanoantennas for Deep‐UV Label‐Free Single‐Protein Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Deep‐UV autofluorescence of single proteins in DNA origami‐based rhodium nanoantennas. Precisely positioned within the plasmonic nanogap, proteins retain their native state while their intrinsic emission is strongly amplified, enabling label‐free single‐molecule detection and opening new opportunities for highly sensitive and specific biosensing ...

Reação da cânfora com boroidreto de sódio: uma estratégia para o estudo da estereoquímica da reação de redução Reaction of camphor with sodium borohydride: a strategy to introduce the stereochemical issues of a reduction reaction

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2010
Reduction of camphor to a mixture of borneol and isoborneol was performed using NaBH4 as the reducing agent under suitable conditions. Although more effective reduction was accomplished using toxic methanol, an alternative non-toxic ethanolic system is ...

Nanobiosensor Based on Catalytic Palladium Nanoclusters and Oxidases for Bianalyte Electrochemical Determination: Glucose and Ethanol in Sweat

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A nanobiosensor for fast and simultaneous determination of sweat glucose and ethanol is presented. Deposited oxidase enzymes consume oxygen in the presence of the substrates, and co‐deposited palladium nanoclusters catalyze the electrochemical oxygen reduction, basis of the detection.

Bleaching of Wool with Sodium Borohydride [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics, 2009
An untreated wool fabric was bleached both with sodium borohydride (SBH) in the presence of sodium bisulphite (SBS) solution and with a commercial H2O2 bleaching method.

Timing Mechanotransduction: Mechanically Dynamic Biomaterials Reveal the Temporal Hierarchy of YAP/TAZ Control Nodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops dynamically softening polyacrylamide hydrogels for time‐resolved imaging during continuous mechanical transitions. The study revealed that mechanotransduction is biphasic; YAP/TAZ inactivation is driven by early loss of the nucleocytoskeletal continuum connecting subnuclear adhesions, F‐actin, and the nuclear envelope, coupled with ...
