Pressure‐Tuned Superconducting Dome and Persistent Charge‐Density‐Wave Order in NdSeTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NdSeTe2 exhibits an unusual pressure‐tuned phase diagram in which charge‐density‐wave order does not disappear at optimal superconductivity. Instead, Raman spectroscopy reveals a transformation from long‐range to short‐range correlations that remain invisible to resistivity and persist across the entire superconducting dome.

Disentangling the effect of space and electric field on photoelectrochemical water splitting

open access: yesNature Communications
Photoelectrochemical water splitting is a promising pathway for renewable solar fuel production. The photoelectrochemical performance strongly depends on the charge separation ability within the space charge layer.

Layered nanoarchitectonics for condensed hard matter, soft matter, and living matter

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Condensed Matter
Abstract Nanotechnology has elucidated scientific phenomena of various materials at the nano-level. The next step in materials developments is to build up materials, especially condensed matter, based on such nanotechnology-based knowledge. Nanoarchitectonics can be regarded as a post-nanotechnology concept.

Crystallized Domain Walls in HfO2 Enable Chessboard‐Type Ultra‐High‐Dense Ferroelectric Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In general, DWs in ferroelectrics stabilize within a widely spread transition region between two oppositely polarized domains, which severely limits the achievable memory density. Here, the reported DWs in HfO2 constitute perfect crystalline structures along arbitrary crystallographic directions, enabling the formation of the narrowest square‐shaped ...

Single-molecule visualization of dynamic transitions of pore-forming peptides among multiple transmembrane positions

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Assessing protein localization within lipid membranes is problematic. Here, the authors describe a single molecule visualization method based on surface-induced fluorescence attenuation (SIFA) to determine the insertion depth and lateral diffusion of a ...

Matrix Rigidity Mechanoprimes Microglia for Inflammation Through Cytoskeletal‐to‐Nuclear Signaling and 3D Spatio‐Epigenomic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathological tissue rigidity mechanoprimes microglia by enhancing actin cytoskeleton–nucleus coupling and chromatin opening at rigidity‐responsive cis‐regulatory elements (mechanoCREs). Subsequent NF‐κB/p65 signaling converges on this permissive regulatory state to amplify inflammatory gene expression and microglial activation.

Функції розподілу для заряджених частинок з багаточастинковими взаємодіями

open access: yes, 2001
We consider a multi-component system of charged particles that interact via a general many-body potential, and calculate the reduced distribution functions from the Bogoliubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon hierarchy of equations in the form of a screened ...
