Solar Spectrum Light‐Driven Silicone‐Based Fluidic Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research
Soft materials that convert light into mechanical energy can create new untethered strategies for actuating soft robotics. Yet, the available light‐driven materials are often incompatible with standard fabrication in soft robotics and restricted to ...

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

HNMD‐CNN: A Hierarchical Narrowing Multi‐Deep Convolutional Neural Network for Precision Glioma Classification in 3D MRI Images

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology
Brain tumors, though rare, are significant health risks, often reaching critical stages before diagnosis. Gliomas, classified as high grade (HGG) and low grade (LGG), require early detection to reduce mortality. While two‐dimensional imaging has improved

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 43, 29 May 2026.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Exhalation-synchronous robotic abdominal compression for user-centered respiratory assistance and training in neurological patients

open access: yesJournal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation
Background Patients with respiratory weaknesses due to neurological disorders or aging often face usability challenges with conventional mechanical ventilators, which directly move air in and out of the lungs via the ventilation mask.
