3D‐Printed Porous Hydroxyapatite Formed via Enzymatic Mineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bone combines lightness, strength, and the ability to heal, inspiring new materials design. This work introduces a room‐temperature, enzyme‐mediated 3D printing method to create porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The process avoids energy‐intensive sintering, preserves bioactivity, and allows control over porosity and mineralization.

Alternating Iteration for $l_{p}$ ( $0<p\leq 1$ ) Regularized CT Reconstruction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
The lp (0 <; p <; 1) regularization has attracted a great attention in the compressive sensing field, because it can obtain sparser solutions than the well-known l1 regularization. Recently, we developed an approximate general analytic thresholding

Adaptive scaling for soft-thresholding estimator

open access: yes, 2016
Soft-thresholding is a sparse modeling method that is typically applied to wavelet denoising in statistical signal processing and analysis. It has a single parameter that controls a threshold level on wavelet coefficients and, simultaneously, amount of shrinkage for coefficients of un-removed components. This parametrization is possible to cause excess

Domain Generalization with fourier Transform and soft thresholding

open access: yesICASSP 2024 - 2024 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP)
Domain generalization aims to train models on multiple source domains so that they can generalize well to unseen target domains. Among many domain generalization methods, Fourier-transform-based domain generalization methods have gained popularity primarily because they exploit the power of Fourier transformation to capture essential patterns and ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Wavelet soft-thresholding of time-frequency representations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 1st International Conference on Image Processing, 2002
The high noise sensitivity of the Wigner distribution makes smoothing a necessity for producing readable time-frequency images of noise corrupted signals. Since linear smoothing suppresses noise at the expense of considerable smearing of the signal components, the author explores two nonlinear denoising techniques based on soft-thresholding in an ...

Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...

Conductive Bonding and System Architectures for High‐Performance Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review outlines bonding technologies and structural design strategies that support high‐performance flexible and stretchable electronics. Bonding approaches such as surface‐activated bonding and anisotropic conductive films, together with system‐level architectures including buffer layers and island‐bridge structures, possess distinct mechanical ...

Improved Real-time Denoising Method Based on Lifting Wavelet Transform

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review, 2014
Signal denoising can not only enhance the signal to noise ratio (SNR) but also reduce the effect of noise. In order to satisfy the requirements of real-time signal denoising, an improved semisoft shrinkage real-time denoising method based on lifting ...
