Undergraduate Software Engineering Programs
2017 IEEE 30th Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&T), 2017Undergraduate programs in software engineering are relatively new. The first ABET accredited programs received accreditation in 2001. There are currently 31 ABET accredited software engineering programs worldwide with additional programs being added each year.

An introductory software engineering course for software engineering program
2011 24th IEEE-CS Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&T), 2011One important issue in undergraduate software engineering curriculum is how to help students establish the concept of software engineering at the beginning of software engineering undergraduate program and to provide a reasonable basis of knowledge and skills for subsequent courses.

A software engineering training program for non-software engineers
ACM SIGAda Ada Letters, 1998This paper describes a software engineering training program that targets personnel with skills in other engineering disciplines. This intensive nine-week program was designed in the fall of 1995. It was offered three times during 1996 and 1997 with modifications that incorporate lessons learned from previous sessions.

Software engineering for molecular programming
Proceedings of the 38th International Conference on Software Engineering Companion, 2016Molecular programming combines computer science prin- ciples with the information-processing power of DNA and other biomolecules to design self-assembling, programmable systems at the nanoscale. Molecular programming is the programming of matter to do our bidding at molecular scales, and it is programming in the literal sense of computer sci- ence ...

Logic Programming and Software engineering—implications for Software design
The Knowledge Engineering Review, 1996AbstractLogic programming is a programming paradigm with potential to contribute to software engineering. This paper is concerned with one dimension of that potential, the impact that experience with developing logic programs can have on software design. We present a logic programming perspective on programming patterns, systematic program development,

Programming environments and software engineering
Proceedings of the 1975 annual conference on - ACM 75, 1975Software engineering deals with problems of building high quality computer software, concentrating on the application of principles, skills, and art to the economical development of programs which run reliably and efficiently on real machines. Development of properly functioning software systems is an extremely complex task, requiring programming ...
