An empirical analysis of feature selection techniques for Software Defect Prediction
Detecting software defects before they occur is crucial in software engineering as it impacts software system quality and reliability. Previous studies on predicting software defects have typically employed software features, such as code size ...

Flash Joule heating enables the formation of quenched Cu oxide precatalysts with intragrain‐in‐grain architectures. These hierarchical structures are inherited after electroreduction, suppressing reconstruction even at high current densities in an MEA cell.

To achieve efficient cancer cell death, a bowl‐shaped PDA@UiO‐66@DOX nanorobot drug‐delivery nanoplatform was developed. Near‐infrared irradiation not only drives the nanorobot to exhibit self‐thermophoretic motion and elevates temperature but also triggers Doxorubicin (DOX) release via hyperthermia, enhancing cancer cells uptake of DOX and thereby ...

Midkine (MDK) is a mediator of the interaction between pancreatic cancer and beta cells. MDK, which originated from pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells, exerted deleterious effects on paraneoplastic beta cells by binding to the SDC4 receptor on the beta cell surface and subsequently downregulating the Ras signaling pathway, thereby impairing insulin

Genes associated with endometriosis risk are highly expressed in M2 macrophages, particularly ligands IL1A and IL1B. Endometrial‐type epithelium and stroma are likely recipients of these ligands. While IL1B treatment disturbs epithelial organization, blockage of the signaling results in a dose‐dependent decrease in spontanesous and evoked pain, reduces

Patterns and Processes of Genomic Evolution Inferred From the Ten Smallest Vertebrate Genomes
By integrating phylogenetic relationships derived from nuclear DNA with population genetic analyses across ten pufferfish species, the genetic differentiation mechanisms underpinning the radiative speciation of the most compact vertebrate genomes has elucidated.

In this study, we provided new evidence identifying multinucleated cysts as precursors for oocyte differentiation. Within these cysts, organelles migrate and aggregate to form Balbiani body (B‐body) and establish early cellular polarity. Concurrently, excess nuclei are expelled, enabling cyst‐to‐oocyte differentiation. The microfilament‐myosin II plays

Human Schlafen 14 Cleavage of Short Double‐Stranded RNAs Underpins its Antiviral Activity
SLFN14 is associated with human diseases. SLFN14 is found to cleave RNAs containing short duplexes. The cryo‐EM structures of SLFN14 and SLFN14‐hairpin RNA complex reveal that SLFN14 assembles into a ring‐like dimer; two RNase domains form an RNA‐binding groove accommodating a hairpin RNA.
