Impact of Drought Stress Timing and Intensity on Physiological Performance and Wine Quality in Two White Grapevine Cultivars Planted in a Mountain Vineyard

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Grape and Wine Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In response to a warming and drying climate, viticulture at higher elevations could be a viable adaptation strategy for the wine industry. Nevertheless, our knowledge about the optimal water management in mountain vineyards remains limited. This study evaluated the effect of drought stress on two grapevine cultivars (Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay ...

Visualization of Real‐Time Esophageal Location Using Intracardiac Echocardiography on a Three‐Dimensional Mapping System: Comparison of Esophageal Location Using Preoperative Computed Tomography and Investigation of Predictors for Esophageal Movement During Catheter Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 36, Issue 11, Page 3024-3032, November 2025.
Esophageal imaging using intracardiac echocardiography (ICE‐Eso) showed a more accurate real‐time esophageal location than preoperative computed tomography (CT‐Eso). Non‐fasting on the day of catheter ablation (CA) may be a predictor of esophageal movement on the day of CA.

Collaborative three-dimensional stereoscopic visualization of geodata with free software Geodata are inherently three-dimensional, when referred to heights ...

Deciphering the Toxicity of Metal Tungstates and Molybdates: Effects on L929 Cell Metabolic Activity, Oxidative Stress, and Genotoxicity

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 45, Issue 10, Page 2197-2216, October 2025.
ABSTRACT The increasing development and application of metal‐based materials in biomedical and environmental fields raise important concerns regarding their potential cytotoxic and genotoxic effects. Metal tungstates (MxWO4) and molybdates (MxMoO4) offer promising functional properties in health and environmental solutions but require safety validation

Movement Pattern and Habitat Use of the Endangered Brook Barbel (Barbus caninus) in a Mediterranean Stream

open access: yesEcology of Freshwater Fish, Volume 34, Issue 4, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Understanding the ecology and behaviour of freshwater fish species is essential for effective management and conservation. Within the genus Barbus, small‐sized mountain species remain understudied despite conservation concerns. In this study, we investigated the movement patterns, habitat use and flow preferences of the endangered species ...

Phylogenetic Analysis of Scaphoideus Reveals New Insights Into the Invasion History of Scaphoideus titanus (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae) in Europe

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
In this study we investigated the evolutionary relationships of Scapohoideus species and specifically investigated the genetic differences between Scaphoideus titanus populations from North America and Europe to reveal new insights on the invasion history of this species in Europe.

Clinical feasibility of high‐power short‐duration strategy at the sites adjacent to the esophagus during laser balloon‐based pulmonary vein isolation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 41, Issue 4, August 2025.
We enrolled 50 ablation sites (12, 10, 8.5, and 5.5 W) in 11 patients where the esophageal temperature reached 39°C within 5 s after ablation. Although ablation duration was correlated with power settings, total energy and maximal esophageal temperature did not differ significantly among the 4 groups.
