ASP (A Software Process) for improving software process
Proceedings Sixth Asia Pacific Software Engineering Conference (ASPEC'99) (Cat. No.PR00509), 2003ASP (A Software Process) is a creation of a capability maturity model and IEEE based software process that has been defined and deployed through the Software Center of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., in Korea. Outcomes from the deployment of ASP are: 1) the momentum for propelling widespread deployment across all organizations of Samsung Elec. Co.

Proceedings Twenty-First Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC'97), 1999
The article proposes a new software process model, ASP (Agile Software Process) based on a decade-long evolution of software process models inside a Japanese software factory. The Japanese software factory was a successful model in the development of quality software for large-scale business applications in the 1980s.

Software Process Modeling: Principles Of Entity Process Models
11th International Conference on Software Engineering, 1989A defined software process is needed to provide organizations with a consistent framework for performing their work and im- proving the way they do it. An overall framework for modeling simplifies the task of producing process models, permits them to be tailored to individual needs, and facilitates process evolution.

Personal Software Process: Classroom Experiences from Finland
2002The personal software process (PSPsm) method was introduced a little less than a decade ago with high expectations. Still, only a limited number of experience reports have been published. This paper reports results from the University of Oulu in Finland, where PSP is a mandatory course for students majoring in software engineering.

ACM SIGSOFT Software Engineering Notes, 2011
Early identification of defects and prevention of defects migration are key goals of the testing process. It is highly desirable to optimize the test activities for a fast time-to-market while delivering a product that meets quality expectation. Software engineering research has led to a raft of systematic testing activities applicable during the ...

Software processes and business processes
Proceedings of the Third International Conference on the Software Process. Applying the Software Process, 2002This paper addresses two issues: the position of an organization's software process with respect to its other business processes, and a comparison of characteristics for software and business process support mechanisms. >

Software processes are social processes
[1992] Proceedings of the Fifth International Workshop on Computer-Aided Software Engineering, 2003The idea of understanding software processes and software teams as social processes is developed. This theory is based on the idea that it is crucial to understand the ways in which human actors interact with each other in software processes. The use of FUNSOFT nets, a Petri net language whose semantics is defined in terms of predicate/transition nets,
