Cancer cell death induced by the NAD antimetabolite Vacor discloses the antitumor potential of SARM1
Vacor, a compound converted into the toxic metabolite Vacor adenine dinucleotide (VAD) by the nicotinamide salvage pathway enzymes NAMPT and NMNAT2, exhibits antitumor activity by inducing rapid and complete NAD depletion. We report that Vacor toxicity is limited to cell lines expressing high levels of SARM1, a NAD glycohydrolase.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

RAD50 missense variants differentially affect the DNA damage response and mitotic progression
RAD50 incorporates into the MRN complex and initiates the DNA damage response. Furthermore, RAD50 promotes mitotic progression. RAD50 missense variants capable of forming an MRN complex supported the DNA damage response and mitotic features to different extents in complementation experiments, indicating these functions are separable and might impact ...

Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

Dependencies among Architectural Views Got from Software Requirements Based on a Formal Model
A system architect has software requirements and some unspecified knowledge about a problem domain (e.g., an enterprise) as source information for assessment and evaluation of possible solutions and getting the target point, a preliminary software design.

Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

SOFTWARE TESTING ESTIMATION: BIBLIOGRAPHIC SURVEY IN BRAZILIAN AND INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS
The methodologies used in the market regarding pricing practices related to software testing activity are strongly based on empiricism, without the parameters and criteria that are widely accepted, what does not confer the due credibility in terms of ...
