ECOLOGY OF THE WHITE BACKED PLANTHOPPER, Sogatella furcifera IN RICE
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1996Field populations of S. furcifera (Horvath) at Coimbatore was generally very low and there was not much difference in the population level between the cultivars, Jaya and IR 36. Crops sown in the months of August to November harboured more hoppers. The population caught in the light traps was high during 1979-80 and very low during 1981-82.

An insecticide resistance diagnostic kit for whitebacked planthopper Sogatella furcifera (Horvath)
Journal of Pest Science, 2020Sogatella furcifera (Horvath) is a notorious pest in most rice-producing regions of Asia, and evidence of resistance of S. furcifera to various insecticides has been documented in many areas. Given that the risk of insecticide resistance has spread, prospective monitoring should be expedited.

Differential DNA methylation between two wing phenotypes adults of Sogatella furcifera
genesis, 2013SummarySogatella furcifera is a major rice pest with wing dimorphism. DNA methylation is an important epigenetic modification that plays a role in gene regulation and phenotype variation in most organisms. The objective of the current research was to survey the frequencies and variation of cytosine methylation at CCGG sequences in macropterous female ...

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a novel class of small, non-coding endogenous RNAs that play critical regulatory roles in many metabolic activities in eukaryotes. Reports of the identification of miRNAs in Sogatella furcifera (white-backed planthopper), the insect that acts as the only confirmed vector of the southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus (SRBSDV ...

[Adaptation of Sogatella furcifera to insect-resistant rice variety N22].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2004The adaptation of whitebacked planthopper (WBPH) Sogatella furcifera to insect-resistant rice variety N22 and the variation of its protective enzyme were studied by rearing it successively two generations on N22 and insect-susceptible rice variety TN1 in laboratory.

Sogatella furcifera Horváth (Hemiptera: Delphacidae), is a major migratory pest of rice crops in Asia. The ultrastructure of the flight muscle directly affects the flight ability of insects. The ultrastructure of the flight muscle of some insects can be affected by insecticides. However, the ultrastructure of the flight muscle of S.
