Modeling the dynamics of soil erosion and size-selective sediment transport over nonuniform topography in flume-scale experiments [PDF]
Soil erosion and the associated nutrient fluxes can lead to severe degradation of surface waters. Given that both sediment transport and nutrient sorption are size selective, it is important to predict the particle size distribution (PSD) as well as the ...

Formation of litter crusts and its multifunctional ecological effects in a desert ecosystem
Desertification is one of the major issues in global environmental change, and it is of great concern to scientists and policy‐makers in the world. Litter crusts can be of great importance for the restoration and management of desert ecosystems.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Temporal variation of SOC enrichment from interrill erosion over prolonged rainfall simulations [PDF]
Sediment generated by interrill erosion is commonly assumed to be enriched insoil organic carbon (SOC) compared to the source soil. However, the reported SOCenrichment ratios (ERSOC) vary widely.

Vectorized dataset of silted land formed by check dams on the Chinese Loess Plateau
Check dams on the Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP) have captured billions of tons of eroded sediment, substantially reducing sediment load in the Yellow River. However, uncertainties persist regarding the precise sediment capture and the role of these dams in

Soil conservation using palm-mat geotextiles on loamy sand soils in the United Kingdom [PDF]
Geotextile-mats constructed from Borassus aethiopum (Borassus Palm) and Mauritia flexuosa (Buriti Palm) leaves have the potential to decrease soil erosion.

The Spatiotemporal Genetic Architecture of Seed Vigor in Upland Cotton
Leveraging the semi‐automated SeedRanger platform, we profiled the germination kinetics of 356 cotton accessions at a 30‐min interval. This high‐throughput phenomic approach delineated a temporal genetic network comprising 541 stage‐specific loci. Crucially, functional validation identified FLA2 as a pivotal, auxin‐modulated regulator that orchestrates
