Influence of the root–soil complex on soil infiltration stages and their temporal changes in Cunninghamia lanceolata plantations

open access: yesGeoderma
As the intensive monoculture plantations continue to expend, their water demand of these plantations is concurrently rising. Investigating the soil infiltration processes in plantations is essential for developing informed water resource management and ...

Sensitivity Analysis of Different Infiltration Equations and Their Coefficients under Various Initial Soil Moisture and Ponding Depth

open access: yesمجله آب و خاک, 2015
Infiltration is a complex process that changed by initial moisture and water head on the soil surface. The main objective of this study was to estimate the coefficients of infiltration equations, Kostiakov-Lewis, Philip and Horton, and evaluate the ...

Soil structure and earthworm activity under different tillage systems in organic farming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Organic farmers are encouraged to adopt conservation tillage to preserve soil quality and fertility and prevent erosion. However, many studies in different soil and climate conditions have demonstrated that the compaction of the untilled layer is higher ...

A Novel GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a Module Determines Soybean Salt Tolerance and Yield Under Saline Soil Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean production is severely threatened by salt stress. This study reveals that the GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a module enhances salt tolerance by stabilizing the GmSIN1 protein. GmRNF1a acts as an E3 ligase to ubiquitinate GmSIN1 for degradation, a process inhibited by GmCSN5a.
