Evaluating Richards Equation and Infiltration Capacity Approaches in Mesoscale Hydrologic Modeling
This study compares two widely used approaches for modeling soil moisture (SM) infiltration in mesoscale hydrology: the one‐dimensional Richards equation (1D RE), which governs vertical flux exchange but is nonlinear and computationally demanding, and ...

Increase and Spatial Variation in Soil Infiltration Rates Associated with Fibrous and Tap Tree Roots
Trees play important roles in urban stormwater management; through the loosening of soils by root growth, they increase infiltration and reduce runoff, helping to mitigate flooding and recharge groundwater.

Optional Soil Infiltration Protocol [PDF]
The purpose of this resource is to determine the rate at which water soaks into the ground. Students place two cans into the soil and add water to them to a depth of at least 5 cm.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

A STUDY OF THE QUALITY OF SOIL INFILTRATION AT THE DOWNSTREAM OF KURANJI RIVER, PADANG CITY
The watershed at the downstream of Kuranji river often experience flooding. This is due to the rainfall runoff and the flat condition of the downstream area. Another factor might be due to low soil infiltration rate. The objective of this research was to

Microbial community changes induced by Managed Aquifer Recharge activities: linking hydrogeological and biological processes [PDF]
Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) is a technique used worldwide to increase the availability of water resources. We study how MAR modifies microbial ecosystems and its implications for enhancing biodegradation processes to eventually improve groundwater ...

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Horizontal infiltration into wet soil [PDF]
We obtain the long‐time asymptotic similarity solution for the wetting front for water absorption from a constant source into a homogeneous layer of soil with a preexisting moisture distribution. The presence of the initial water distribution in the soil introduces a time shift that advances the position of the wetting front.

The Scale Effect of Double-Ring Infiltration and Soil Infiltration Zoning in a Semi-Arid Steppe
The double-ring infiltrometer is widely used to measure soil unsaturated hydraulic conductivity in the field. The scale effect of the inner and outer ring size (especially the inner one) affects the measurement results.
