Study of Agricultural Soil Infiltration under the Movement of Machinery
A key problem for horticulture is compaction of the soil during the work, the aim of this article is to assess the state of water infiltration, under different water conditions at different depths of sandy soil.

Root lodging severely limits crop yield and quality. We reveal that ZmRLR1, a plasma membrane b‐type cytochrome, regulates lodging resistance in maize through dual roles: modulating intracellular redox balance and functioning as a novel component of clathrin‐mediated endocytosis to influence auxin homeostasis. Moreover, natural variations in the ZmRLR1

Sensitivity of point scale runoff predictions to rainfall resolution
International audienceThis paper investigates the effects of using non-linear, high resolution rainfall, compared to time averaged rainfall on the triggering of hydrologic thresholds and therefore model predictions of infiltration excess and saturation ...

In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.

An estimate of energy dissipation due to soil-moisture hysteresis [PDF]
Processes of infiltration, transport and outflow in unsaturated soil necessarily involve the dissipation of energy through various processes. Accounting for these energetic processes can contribute to modelling hydrological and ecological systems.

Kinetics of Gravity-Driven Water Channels Under Steady Rainfall [PDF]
We investigate the formation of fingered flow in dry granular media under simulated rainfall using a quasi-2D experimental set-up composed of a random close packing of mono-disperse glass beads.
