Quantifying the effect of uncertainty in an applied soil spectroscopy context A loss function approach [PDF]
Advances in sensor technology and agricultural equipment should enable farmers to improve the precision management of nutrients, water and adjusted crop density, but the decision of when to use what sensor and how many measurements to take is still ad ...

Mapping the “Supply–Demand–Flow” of Ecosystem Services for Ecosystem Management in China
This study develops a “supply–demand–flow” framework clarifies how ecosystem services move between regions by distinguishing potential and actual supply and demand. Using integrated biophysical–socioeconomic modeling, nine services in China were mapped.

Improvement in soil loss estimation in USLE type experiments
Soil erosion experimentation around the world commonly uses field runoff plots from which runoff and soil loss are collected. The volume of the collected water-sediment mixture is usually so great that sub-sampling techniques are required to estimate ...

Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.
