From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

Relação entre a variabilidade espacial das frações granulométricas do solo e a produtividade do feijoeiro sob plantio direto Relationship between the spatial variability of particle-size fractions of soil and common bean yield under no-tillage

Adoption of soil organic carbon-enhancing practices: A case of two watershed sites in Ethiopia. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This study aimed at identifying the factors that determine the decision to adopt and the intensity of adoption of soil organic carbon (SOC)-enhancing practices using two watershed sites in Ethiopia: Yiser (Amhara region) and Azugashube (Southern ...

EFFECTS OF SOIL TILLAGE AND CROP ROTATION SYSTEMS ON SOIL PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

open access: yes, 2007
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of soil tillage and crop rotation systems on soil physical attributes. The experiment was conducted for five consecutive years and ten crop seasons in a dystrophic Oxisol in Santo Antônio de Goiás, Goiás State, Brazil, in a completely randomized design with four replications arranged in a 2 x 4 ...

Divergent Responses of Bacterial Communities to Permafrost Degradation and Their Associations With Carbon Across Vertical Profiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bacterial α‐diversity decreases, but stochasticity and community stability increase across the 15 m‐depth vertical profiles and along the degraded gradient within the active layer. The abundance and interaction of core taxa mainly control community stability in the active and permafrost layers, respectively.

Soil attributes and weed seedbank spatial correlation

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2019
The crop yield potential is affected by the crop-weed competition and their control create a dependence on herbicide use who brings, as consequence, soil impacts.

Divergent Regulatory Effects of Jasmonic Acid on Tomato Lycopene Biosynthesis Under Light and Dark Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which jasmonic acid (JA) regulates lycopene synthesis under light and dark conditions. In light, JA activates SlMYC2, which suppresses SlPIF1a and promotes SlPSY1 expression. In darkness, JA induces the acetyltransferase SlNATA1, which acetylates the dark‐accumulated SlPIF1a, thereby repressing SlPSY1 expression ...

Spatial variability of soil physical attributes and its effects on wheat yield /
Variabilidade espacial de atributos físicos do solo e seus efeitos sobre a produtividade do trigo

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2009
The objective of this paper was to study the spatial variability influence of soil physical attributes in wheat yield. The geostatistics techniques used were semivariogram and contour maps produced by interpolation through usual kriging representing the ...

SOIL QUALITY AND YIELD OF PINUS TAEDA IN THE PLANALTO CATARINENSE REGION

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2010
In forest areas, the continual use of the soil alters its physical attributes and deteriorates its quality, in consequence of the traffic of machines used in forest operations, resulting in lower yields of crops.
