Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

INCREASING ONION, GARLIC AND CARROTS YIELD AND QUALITY AND CONTROLLING WEEDS BY SOIL SOLARIZATION [PDF]
Field experiments on soil solarization were 1996/97, 1997 and 1998/99 conducted in naturally weed-infested plots of onion, garlic and carrots in 96/1997, 97/1998 and 98/1999 seasons, at the Faculty of Agriculture Vegetable Farm, Ain Shams University. The

A solar collector for soil disinfestation [PDF]
A solar collector to be used for disinfestation of substrates for plant propagation is described. At a high solar radiation intensity (more than 1 cal cm -2 min-l), one day of treatment was sufficient for disinfestation of soil infested with Sclerotium rolfsii, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Fusarium solani f.sp.

RESPONSE OF OKRA TRANSPLANTS GROWS ON SOIL SOLARIZING PLOTS DURING THE ACTIVE PERIOD OF SOIL SOLARIZATION [PDF]
A study was conducted in 1991 to determine the effect high soil temperatures would have on `Clemson Spineless' okra plants transplanted into field plots during 60 days of active soil solarization (solar heating of the soil using clear plastic during the summer period).
