Climate Change Threatens Micronutrient Density of European Winter Wheat
Micronutrients are vital for human health. Wheat is a major staple crop and a significant source of minerals and B‐vitamins. The impact of climate change on their content remains largely unknown. We evaluated micronutrient levels in European winter wheat grown under historical and projected climate conditions. Our findings indicate that future climates

A study of soil moisture variability for landmine detection by the neutron technique [PDF]
This paper is focused on the space and temporal variability of soil moisture experimental data acquired at a few locations near landmine fields in the Tuzla Canton, as well as on the quantification of the statistical nature of soil moisture data on a ...

Spatial variability of soil temperature in Poland
The aim of the study was to determine the spatial variability of monthly mean soil temperature at a depth of 5 cm in Poland. Soil temperature data from 88 meteorological stations in the years 1961-1975 were used. The measurement data were analyzed using statistical and geostatistical methods. Spatial variability of soil temperature was recognized based

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Response of vertically-loaded pile in spatially-variable cement-treated soil.
Despite the extensive application prospects of piles in cement-treated soil, few studies have explored the ultimate bearing capacity especially in consideration of the spatial variability of cement-treated soil.

Factors controlling soil spatial variability in a native range landscape [PDF]
1984 Summer.Includes bibliographical references (pages 114-119).Soils were characterized along three transects of the same catenary sequence within the semi-arid shortgrass (Bouteloua gracilis) steppe of north central Colorado.
