The use of wild edible plants and the traditional knowledge associated with them are rapidly disappearing across the Mediterranean, with serious consequences for biodiversity, cultural heritage, and regional food security. This study compiles and organizes fragmented information to create the first comprehensive catalogue of these plants across the ...

Characterization and diversity of the market-gardening production systems and their interactions with urban and peri-urban environment in Southern-Benin, West Africa [PDF]
The market-gardening production plays an important role in contribution to food availability. However this activity is limited by constraints and also generates harmful effects on health and environment. Thus to ensure the sustainability of this activity

Engineering compact Physalis peruviana (goldenberry) to promote its potential as a global crop
Goldenberry (Physalis peruviana) produces sweet, nutritionally rich berries, yet like many minor crops, is cultivated in limited geographical regions and has not been a focus of breeding programs for trait enhancement. Leveraging knowledge of plant architecture‐related traits from related species, we used CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated gene editing to generate a

Co‐application of Bacillus strains TM22 and MCM61 suppressed Fusarium wilt of cotton. Seed biopriming with Bacillus strains performed better than soil drenching. TM22 + MCM61 improved vegetative and physiological aspects in cotton plants. TM22 + MCM61 enhanced the activity of defense enzymes and defense gene expression.

Light‐emitting diode (LED)‐based treatments for enhancing crop production and pest management have primarily focused on continuous treatments. This study, using Tetranychus urticae and Phytoseiulus persimilis, demonstrates that the timing of LED supplementation is crucial for designing integrated pest management strategies that improve both plant ...
