Rapid phenotyping of the tomato fruit model, Micro-Tom, with a portable VISeNIR spectrometer [PDF]
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) quality traits such as juice soluble solid content (Brix), juice pH, color parameters (Hue and Chroma), firmness and water content, are critical factors for fruit quality assessment. The need for screening very large numbers

The first complete mitochondrial genome of eggplant (Solanum melongena)
Eggplant is an important vegetable crop because of its rich nutrition, but to date no mitochondrial genome has been reported. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of the eggplant was sequenced. The complete mitochondrial genome was 498,136bp,

The Effect of Tomate Juice On Trigliserida Levels Of Male White Rats Induced by Alloxan
Background: Tomato juice is believed to affect triglyceride levels in the blood because it contains lycopene. This study aims to determine the effect of tomato juice (Solanum lycopersicum) on blood triglyceride levels in the wistar strain of male Rattus

Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Abstract Premise Detecting clear tissue‐ and organ‐specific patterns of gene expression is key to understanding the genetic mechanisms that control plant development. In situ hybridization (ISH) of mRNA is one of the most precise, yet most challenging approaches to gene expression assays.
