Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Long-Term Variations in Background Bias and Magnetic Field Noise in HSOS/SMFT Observations

open access: yesUniverse
The Solar Magnetic Field Telescope (SMFT) at Huairou Solar Observing Station (HSOS) has conducted continuous observations of solar vector magnetic fields for nearly four decades, and while the primary optical system remains unchanged, critical components—

COMMISSION 10: SOLAR ACTIVITY [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2011
Commission 10 of the International Astronomical Union has more than 650 members who study a wide range of activity phenomena produced by our nearest star, the Sun. Solar activity is intrinsically related to solar magnetic fields and encompasses events from the smallest energy releases (nano- or even picoflares) to the largest eruptions in the Solar ...

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) as an Organic Electrode Material: Interplay of the Electronic and Structural Properties due to the Unusual Lone‐Pair‐π Conjugation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
In this study, the unique role of the unusual lone‐pair‐π conjugation mechanism in poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) (P14AQ) is explored as an organic electrode material. Unlike traditional π‐π interactions, P14AQ's conjugation involves lone pairs of oxygen atoms interacting with the π cloud of adjacent units, enabling stable charge transport even with minimal π‐

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Review of recent observations of magnetic holes in the solar wind

open access: yesDiscover Space
Magnetic holes (MHs) are ubiquitous coherent structures within the solar wind, defined by localized depressions in the magnetic field. They are increasingly recognized as fundamental sites of energy conversion and particle energization, playing a crucial
