Solar collector performance evaluated outdoors at NASA-Lewis Research Center [PDF]

open access: yes
An outdoor facility constructed to evaluate solar collector performance for conditions that would be encountered by collectors if they were incorporated in a solar heating/cooling system is described.

Illuminating the Origins of Ferroelectric‐Induced Photocurrent and Hole Lifetime Enhancement in BaTiO3 Photoanodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The use of ferroelectric polarization to enhance photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic activity is an innovative, and increasingly studied route to improve the spatial separation of charge carriers and therefore enhance catalytic efficiency. These results demonstrate how the intrinsic properties of a ferroelectric film can extend charge carrier ...

1D Light‐Emitting MAPbBr3 Perovskite Encapsulated in Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Encapsulation of MAPbBr3 perovskite in single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) yields a hybrid nanomaterial with distinctive optoelectronic properties. Perovskite confinement induces a unified single‐peak photoluminescence (PL) with a reduced lifetime, while charge transfer alters the optical properties of nanotubes.

Efficient Hole Injection From Indium Tin Oxide in Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The realization of QLEDs‐based displays remains challenging due to the acidic surface from PEDOT:PSS. Here, an analysis is conducted by examining the degradation mechanism of PEDOT:PSS. By replacing PEDOT:PSS with 2BrCzPA, the formation of strong dipoles at the ITO/2BrCzPA SAM interfaces exhibits excellent hole injection abilities.

Performance Assessment and Heat Transfer Coefficient of Antifreeze Fluids in Low-Temperature Solar Collectors

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This study conducts a comparative performance analysis of three different low-temperature solar collector systems: flat plate solar collectors (FPCs), heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors (HPETCs), and heat pipe flat plate solar collectors (HPFPCs).

Solar Tests of Aperture Plate Materials for Solar Thermal Dish Collectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
If a malfunction occurs in a solar thermal point-focus distributed receiver power plant while a concentrator is pointed at the Sun, motion of the concentrator may stop. As the Sun moves relative to the Earth, the spot of concentrated sunlight then slowly
