Shielding of Unconventional High Surge Impedance Loading Transmission Lines
IET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.This paper focuses on determining the optimal location and number of shield wires for a novel‐designed unconventional high surge impedance loading line. This line has a much lower surge impedance than conventional lines, raising key questions on the location of shield wires to meet an acceptable shielding failure rate (SFFOR).
