To integrate surface analysis into materials discovery workflows, Gaussian process regression is used to accurately predict surface compositions from rapidly acquired volume composition data (obtained by energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy), drastically reducing the number of required surface measurements on thin‐film materials libraries.

In this study, 3D‐TVS measurements of the uterine junction zone (JZ) in 120 patients showed that a JZmax threshold of ≥ 0.45 cm yielded 77% sensitivity and 89% specificity for adenomyosis diagnosis. Notably, JZ thickness varies minimally with age, demonstrating its stability and excellent diagnostic performance.

Ligand‐Driven Optimization of Iron Oxide Nanoprobes for In Vivo MRI Enhancement at Ultra‐High Field
Ligand‐tailored iron oxide nanoparticles reveal how surface chemistry controls T2 relaxivity and in vivo performance in ultra‐high‐field MRI. Systematic variation of hydrophilicity and charge across five coatings modulated r2 by up to 333 mm−1 s−1, with chemical properties, rather than shell thickness, dictating magnetic dephasing and enabling reliable

Polarisation of decayless kink oscillations of solar coronal loops
Decayless kink oscillations of plasma loops in the solar corona may contain an answer to the enigmatic problem of solar and stellar coronal heating. The polarisation of the oscillations gives us a unique information about their excitation mechanisms and ...

Reduced fertilization regimes could boost biocontrol service without reducing crop yield
Fertilization level influences pest control effectiveness in tomato crops. High fertilization increases plant growth and aphid density but reduces the performance of the parasitoid Aphidius ervi. In contrast, the predator Adalia bipunctata maintains consistent aphid suppression regardless of fertilization regime.

A New Method Linking the Solar Wind Speed to the Coronal Magnetic Field
The release and acceleration of the solar wind is still an outstanding question. There are several aspects related to this phenomenon that still need to be investigated, and one of these is the identification of the region within the inner corona where ...

Multistage Reconnection Powering a Solar Coronal Jet
Coronal jets are short-lived eruptive features commonly observed in polar coronal holes and are thought to play a key role in the transfer of mass and energy into the solar corona.

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

Spectroscopic Study of Heating Distributions and Mechanisms Using Hinode/EIS
Heating distributions along coronal loops are obtained from spectroscopic data with the Hinode/EUV Imaging Spectrometer. The loop half-lengths L _half are in the range of 24–107 Mm for our analysis of 18 loops.
