Transient Charging of Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductors by Anomalous Diffusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This article explores charge transport in mixed ionic‐electronic conductors (MIECs) through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and transient current analysis. Focusing on PEDOT:PSS, WO3, and n‐doped PBDF, it uncovers the impact of anomalous diffusion via fractional modeling. The study reveals key correlations that deepen understanding and guide the

A Functional 2D Carbon Allotrope Combining Nanoporous Graphene and Biphenylene Segments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis of a novel nanoporous graphene (NPG) is reported with biphenylene segments via thermal fusion of 12‐armchair porous graphene nanoribbons grown on gold surfaces. Characterization using STM, AFM, and DFT reveals low‐defect semiconducting behaviour and tunable band gaps.

Numerical Simulation of Equal Ratio Relations for the Peak Intensities of >10 MeV Energetic Protons

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Previous studies have highlighted the significance of perpendicular diffusion in the decay phase of particle intensities for >10 MeV energetic protons. Recently, an observational study has indicated that the peak intensity ratios across different energy ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

High Light Utilization and Color Rendering in Vacuum‐Deposited Semitransparent Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low bandgap (≈1.55 eV) semitransparent perovskite solar cells (ST‐PSCs) having thin (thickness < ≈100 nm) perovskite layers and transparent conductive oxide‐based rear electrodes are fabricated using vacuum‐deposition methods. Two different ST‐PSCs demonstrated a high light utilization efficiency value of 4.2 (PCE: 9.26% and AVT: 45.3 ...

The Two Sources of Solar Energetic Particles [PDF]

open access: yesSpace Science Reviews, 2013
Evidence for two different physical mechanisms for acceleration of solar energetic particles (SEPs) arose 50 years ago with radio observations of type III bursts, produced by outward streaming electrons, and type II bursts from coronal and interplanetary shock waves.
