Modeling study and experimental investigation of SPSR and solid particles–sCO2 heat exchanger for concentrating solar power plant

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
Solid particle solar receiver (SPSR) and solid particles-supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO 2) heat exchanger (HX) are critical units for energy concentration and conversion in innovative concentrating solar power (CSP) plant, and their property will have

Passive solar reflector satellite revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Passive light weight reflectors in space which direct the incident solar energy to a specified location on the Earth surface are proposed as an alternative system for the solar power satellite to overcome conversion losses and to avoid the need for ...

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Polarization-type potential-induced degradation in bifacial PERC modules in the field

open access: yesEPJ Photovoltaics
This study examines the susceptibility of bifacial glass/glass passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) modules to potential-induced degradation-polarization (PID-p) in the field.

Enhanced Photovoltaic Performances of Graphene/Si Solar Cells by Insertion of an MoS2 Thin Film

open access: yes, 2015
Atomically thin layered materials such as graphene and transition-metal dichalcogenides exhibit great potential as active materials in optoelectronic devices because of their high carrier-transporting properties and strong light-matter interactions. Here,

Reducing Open‐Circuit Voltage Losses in Wide‐Bandgap FAPbBr3 Perovskite Solar Cells for Continuous Unassisted Light‐Driven Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The combination of formamidinium thiocyanate and 1,3‐propane diammonium iodide for bulk and top‐surface passivation, and a ternary fullerene blend to improve energy band alignment, suppresses energy losses in wide‐bandgap FAPbBr3 perovskite solar cells.

Experimental performance of water cooled building integrated photovoltaic/thermal solar collectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The idea of integrating water cooled photovoltaic/thermal collectors into building structures (BIPVT collectors) to provide electrical and heat energy is an area that has received only limited attention.

Increased cell efficiency in InGaAs thin film solar cells with dielectric and metal back reflectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Compound single junction and multijunction solar cells enable very high photovoltaic efficiencies by virtue of employing different band gap materials in seriesconnected tandem cells to access the full solar spectrum.
