Organic Solar Radiation Modification
Despite the urgency to mitigate climate change, global greenhouse gas concentrations are still increasing, and even global emissions are still growing. Furthermore, the global sinks—both natural and technical—are not improving rapidly enough. Therefore, discussion and investigations to utilize solar radiation modification (SRM) have resurfaced ...

Solar radiation modification (Evidence Review Report)
Solar radiation modification (SRM), such as stratospheric aerosol injection or cloud brightening might have the potential to prevent further global warming and reduce some of its effects. However, the benefits and risks of SRM are highly uncertain.

Influence of solar and geomagnetic storms on terrestrial photosynthesis
It is reviewed the potential influence of solar and geomagnetic storms on terrestrial photosynthesis. Then it is presented a modification of a physical-mathematical model of photosynthesis published by some of us, which allows quantifying the influence ...

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

Modeling the radiative effects of desert dust on weather and regional climate [PDF]
Mineral dust aerosols exert a significant effect on both solar and terrestrial radiation. By absorbing and scattering, the solar radiation aerosols reduce the amount of energy reaching the surface.

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals
Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.

Giant Electrostriction in Halide Perovskites Revisited With Double‐Modulation Interferometry
A giant electrostrictive effect in lead halide perovskites had been reported previously. This work uses sensitive interferometry to measure the electromechanical response of various halide perovskite samples. The results reveal no intrinsic electrostrictive compression. Instead, the materials expand primarily under an applied electric field as a result

Advanced solar radiation prediction using combined satellite imagery and tabular data processing
Accurate solar radiation prediction is crucial for optimizing solar energy systems. There are two types of data that can be used to predict solar radiation, such as satellite images and tabular satellite data.
