On association of radio emission with solar surges
Solar Physics, 1986About 45% non-flare surges are found to be associated with radio bursts inferred from spectral data. Associated surges are mostly accompanied by type I (24%) and type III (29%) bursts.

We have got a reasonably clear idea of the various forms under which the type IV continuum emission may appear. Also we can imagine what kind of processes come into play during a type IV event. But the insight gained so far applies to the general case.

Polarization of Solar Radio-frequency Emissions
Nature, 1946THE recent experimental proof1 that the sun emits energy on radio frequencies was followed by evidence2 that the amount of such energy can increase markedly during the passage of important sunspots across the solar disk. Such sunspots are invariably associated with strong magnetic fields, the influence of which almost certainly extends into the upper ...

Solar radio emissions at solar maximum: Interplanetary perspective
Advances in Space Research, 2003Abstract At frequencies below 10–15 MHz, radio astronomical observations of the sun are routinely performed in space because Earth's ionosphere effectively prohibits these low frequency emissions from reaching the ground. In terms of solar altitude, these frequencies correspond to about 2 Rs to 1 AU.At these low frequencies, a least four counterparts

Microwave Bursts of Solar Radio Emission
Publications of the Astronomical Society of Japan, 1960Abstract Wide-band compound dynamic spectra of solar radio outbursts have been studied in the frequency range from 9500 Mc to 67 Mc. The range of 9500–1000 Mc has been covered by the records at several fixed frequencies, and both the swept frequency records and fixed frequency records have been used on the frequencies below 1000 Mc.

Introduction to the Study of Solar Radio Emission
1965As in the optical domain, radio frequency radiation which comes from the sun is characterized by its intensity and its polarization which, in general, vary as a function of time and frequency. With antennas of large dimensions, the solar regions from which these emissions come and eventually the diameter or even the structure of these regions, can also

A plasma-emission mechanism for type I solar radio emission
Solar Physics, 1980A theory for type I emission is developed based on fundamental plasma emission due to coalescence of Langmuir waves with low-frequency waves. The Langmuir waves are attributed to energetic electrons trapped in a magnetic loop over an active region.

Multiphase Radio Interferometers for Locating the Sources of the Solar Radio Emission
Publications of the Astronomical Society of Japan, 1959Abstract Multiphase radio interferometers, developed for the purpose of minimizing the ambiguity and simplifying the reduction procedure in locating the sources of the solar radio emission, are discussed. By simple eye-estimation, the relative position can be deduced with an accuracy of 0.01 R.
