Advancements in CO2 Capture Technologies: A Review of Amine Absorption and Alternative Methods for Post‐Combustion Integration

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon capture technologies are poised to become one of the primary focuses regarding the achievement of net‐zero emissions by the year 2050. In these technologies, particular attention is given to post‐combustion CO2 capture, which is more easily implemented at existing power stations and other industries.

Design of Volumetric Solar Flow Receivers

ASME 2010 8th International Conference on Nanochannels, Microchannels, and Minichannels: Parts A and B, 2010
The development of efficient solar thermal receivers has received significant interest for thermal energy to electrical power conversion and heating applications. Volumetric receivers, where the incoming solar radiation is absorbed in a fluid volume, have advantages over state-of-the-art surface absorbers owing to the reduced heat losses at the surface.

Investigation of Nanofluids Circulating in a Volumetric Solar Receiver

Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications, 2021
Abstract Single-wall carbon nanohorn (SWCNHs)-based nanofluids have been proven to be promising media for the direct absorption of solar radiation due to their favorable optical properties and potential low cost. Still their stability in real working conditions is an open issue because they have been studied mainly under stagnant ...

Design Methodology of a Concentrating Solar Volumetric Receiver

ASME 2023 17th International Conference on Energy Sustainability, 2023
Abstract A volumetric receiver design process is proposed to respond wide range of power, outlet temperature, or mass flow rate needs. In the receiver model, concentrated solar radiation hits the inner surface cavity and heats the gaseous fluid passing through the porous media assembled between the cavity and the insulator.
