Solid polymer electrolytes which are solvent-free electrolytes based on polymers have potential for use in next-generation lithium ion batteries. These batteries, used in cell phones and laptop computers, currently contain a liquid electrolyte. Replacing the liquid electrolyte currently used has several advantages: it allows use of higher-energy ...

Polymer solid electrolytes: Stability domain
Solid State Ionics, 1981Abstract The redox stability domain of the polymer solid electrolytes (polyther-salt complexes) has been investigated using cyclic voltammetry. The macromolecular backbone was found remarkably inert, and the stability range is mainly limited by the anion of the dissolved salt.

Polymer solid electrolytes - an overview
Solid State Ionics, 1983Abstract Polymers containing solvating heteroatoms form conductive complexes with low lattice energy alkali salts. Despite the apparent complexity of the phase diagram and the influence of preparation history, only the amorphous domains show an appreciable mobility.

Super ion conducting polymers for solid polymer electrolytes
International Conference on Science and Technology of Synthetic Metals, 1994Abstract New ion conductive polymer complexes were formed by dissolving various polycation salts into room temperature molten salts containing aluminium chloride. The viscoelastic films were fabricated from the molten salts added at least 10 mol % of the polypyridinium salts.

Multifunctional Epoxy-Based Solid Polymer Electrolytes for Solid-State Supercapacitors
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2018Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have drawn attention for promising multifunctional electrolytes requiring very good mechanical properties and ionic conductivity. To develop a safe SPE for energy storage applications, mechanically robust cross-linked epoxy matrix is combined with fast ion-diffusing ionic liquid/lithium salt electrolyte (ILE) via a ...

Electrochemical sensors with solid polymer electrolytes
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1999Electrochemical sensors with an electrode system formed on a solid polymer electrolyte (spe) enable detection of substances in poorly conductive liquids and in gases and can be constructed either with a liquid phase as a part of the sensor system, or as solid-state sensors.

Polymer-Mineral Composite Solid Electrolytes
MRS Advances, 2019Polymer-mineral composite solid electrolytes have been prepared by hot pressing using lithium ion-exchanged bentonite (LIEB) and mineral derived LATSP (Li1.2Al0.1Ti1.9Si0.1P2.9O12) NASICON materials as solid electrolyte fillers in the polyethylene oxide (PEO) polymer containing LiTFSI salt.

Inorganic-Organic Composite Solid Polymer Electrolytes
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2000Inorganic-organic composite solid polymer electrolytes (CSPEs) have been prepared from the poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-like electrolytes of the general formula polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene (PVdF-HFP)-PEO{sub n}-LiX and Li{sup +}-conducting ceramic powders. In the PEO-like electrolytes, PVdF-HFP is the copolymer of PVdF and HFP, PEO{sub n}
