Leveraging the numerous advantages of ammonium‐ion (NH₄⁺)—including cost‐effectiveness, low corrosiveness, preferential orientation, and rapid diffusion kinetics—aqueous NH₄⁺ batteries (AAIBs) have gained significant attention. This review highlights and evaluates the progress of AAIBs utilizing organic electrode materials such as small molecules ...

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Shape-Memory Solid Polymer Electrolytes
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2021Stimuli-responsive materials are smart materials capable to adjust their properties (e.g. shape and size) in response to an external or internal stimulus including temperature, light, magnetic field, mechanical stress, and pH. Shape memory polymers (SMPs) are attractive class of stimuli-responsive, programmable smart materials with shape-memory ...

Composite Solid Polymer Electrolyte Membrane
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2016Due to safety issues in the lithium batteries with organic liquid electrolytes, it is expected that the next-generation safe lithium batteries would be the all-solid-state batteries. New solid electrolytes with high Li+ ion conduction such as Li10GeP2S12, Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3 and Li7La3Zr2O12 have attracted extensive attentions in the development of

Solid polymer electrolyte water electrolysis
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1982Studies have been made on electrocatalysts and their plating methods to solid polymer electrolyte (SPE). Perfluorosulfonic acid polymer membranes (Dupont manufactured Nafion) were used as SPE. Noble metals and their alloys were directly attached to both sides of the membrane without a binder by special metal plating methods developed by the present ...

Solid Polymer Electrolyte Photovoltaic Cell
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1982Solid photoelectrochemical cells are described based on PEO-KI/I/sub 2/ electrolytes, n-Si/Pt/PPy photoanodes, and conductive tin-oxide glass counter electrodes. The performance of the present devices is limited by a high series resistance in the polymer film. 22 refs.
