ZnSe 1-x Te x solid solutions doped with Cu and Cl have been synthesized from ZnSe and ZnTe powders. The defect structure, solubility of dopants and photoluminescence at UV and X-ray excitation have been investigated. At 300 K materials with x = 0-0.3 show intense donor-acceptor pair photoluminescence bands with peaks in the region of 1.89 to 1.57 eV.

Physical Review Letters, 2002Extended x-ray absorption fine structures, small-angle x-ray scattering, and atomistic model calculations have been employed to probe the homogeneity of the fcc solution created in Ag-Cu, a classical system demonstrating the extension of solubility across the entire miscibility gap through rapid quenching.
