Biomass‐Derived Laser‐Induced Graphene: From Precursor Chemistry to Device Integration

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Laser direct writing provides a mask‐free route for converting suitable carbon‐containing precursors into patterned, porous, and conductive laser‐induced graphene (LIG) networks. Although LIG was initially demonstrated mainly using aromatic synthetic polymers, such as polyimide, biomass precursors introduce renewable feedstocks with highly ...

Enhancing Efficiency and Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells via NaCl Post‐Treatment of SnO2 Electron Transport Layers

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
Sodium chloride post‐treatment is introduced as a simple and effective strategy to engineer SnO2 electron transport layers for perovskite solar cells. The treatment enhances surface wettability, promoting uniform perovskite growth, efficient interfacial charge extraction, and suppressed recombination. The optimized devices achieve a champion efficiency

Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting With TiO2 Thin Films: Effects of Thickness, Porosity, and Illumination Configuration

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 18, 19 September 2026.
An increase in surface area is not always an advantage for photoanodes; mesoporous TiO2 photoelectrodes present lower photoelectrocatalytic performance in oxygen evolution reaction due to a higher density of surface states that promote recombination, especially under frontal illumination.

Synthesis and Functional Properties of Fluorinated Phosphonate‐Substituted Porphyrins: Excellent Photosensitizers and Robust Precursors for Photoactive Langmuir–Schaefer Films

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 34, 11 September 2026.
This is a comprehensive study of new family of high functionalized meso‐tetraarylporphyrins. A synthetic approach to phosphonate‐substituted fluorinated porphyrins was developed. These compounds were investigated with respect to singlet oxygen generation and photostability.
