Independent Development of Sample Preparation Tools for Solid-state NMR

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance
In recent years, several research units have introduced solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers. So far, solid-state NMR spectrometers have not been domestically manufactured and the equipment is completely dependent on imports ...

Clustomesogen Showing Sub‐Zero Liquid Crystal Properties: Supramolecular Assembly Between Cs2[Mo6Ii8(OCOC2F5)6] and Hexaethylenoxide Containing Mesogenic Dimers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Associating a red‐NIR phosphorescent octahedral hexanuclear molybdenum cluster compound with hexaethyleneoxide chains bearing mesogenic units on both ends leads to an emissive hybrid liquid crystal showing mesomorphism on a very unusual temperature range down to −25°C.

NMR studies of silicate and aluminosilicate solutions as precursors for zeolites [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The search for a detailed understanding of the mechanism of zeolite synthesis has, over the past two decades, promoted many investigations into the species present in (alumino)silicate solutions.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Is protein deuteration beneficial for proton detected solid-state NMR at and above 100 kHz magic-angle spinning?

open access: yes, 2017
1H-detection in solid-state NMR of proteins has been traditionally combined with deuteration for both resolution and sensitivity reasons, with the optimal level of proton dilution being dependent on MAS rate.
