The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Yeast Gcn2 retains activity following humanization of its auto‐phosphorylation region
Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model to study Gcn2 activation and regulation is limited by the lack of antibodies detecting phosphorylated Gcn2. To overcome this, we engineered Gcn2‐HsC, a yeast Gcn2 variant recognizable by commercial anti‐human phospho‐GCN2 antibodies.

Delivery of DNA‐encoded vaccines and proteins in mice using cutaneous suction‐mediated transfection
Cutaneous suction‐mediated transfection in mice for delivery of DNA‐encoded vaccines and proteins. A critical limitation of DNA vaccines and other therapeutics is transfection in vivo to produce the encoded antigens or therapeutic proteins. Cutaneous suction‐based methods have demonstrated effectiveness in many animal models and have been successfully ...

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

The DC–DC conversion stage of a three‐stage solid‐state transformer is the most challenging due to the combination of high power, medium voltage, and medium frequency. This combination also causes most of the losses in the DC–DC stage.

Solid State Transformer Controls for Mitigation of E3a High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse Insults
This paper explores the use of a solid state transformer (SST) to mitigate the E3A component of a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) insult using external energy storage optimal control techniques. In lieu of conventional passive blocking devices

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

In this study, a novel esterase from the thermoacidophilic archaeon Thermoplasma acidophilum was biochemically and structurally characterized. Our results demonstrate that Ta0887 is a highly thermostable esterase that preferentially hydrolyzes p‐nitrophenyl hexanoate and possesses an α‐helical cap domain that likely contributes to its substrate ...
