Higher-order nonlinear modes and bifurcation phenomena due to degenerate parametric four-wave mixing [PDF]
We demonstrate that weak parametric interaction of a fundamental beam with its third harmonic field in Kerr media gives rise to a rich variety of families of non-fundamental (multi-humped) solitary waves.

Triangular temporal-distribution law for disintegrating internal solitons over a step
: Internal solitary waves have been found to disintegrate into a series of solitons over variable bathymetry, with important applications for offshore engineering.

Brief communication: Multiscaled solitary waves [PDF]
It is analytically shown how competing nonlinearities yield multiscaled structures for internal solitary waves in stratified shallow fluids. These solitary waves only exist for large amplitudes beyond the limit of applicability of the Korteweg–de ...

Numerical Study on Collisions of Solitons of Surface Waves in Finite Water Depth
Head-on collisions between two solitary waves in the framework of the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation were investigated using the Fourier spectral method. When solitary waves undergo collision, the peak value of surface elevation (hereafter referred

Solitary Waves of Planar Ferromagnets and the Breakdown of the Spin-Polarized Quantum Hall Effect
A branch of uniformly-propagating solitary waves of planar ferromagnets is identified. The energy dispersion and structures of the solitary waves are determined for an isotropic ferromagnet as functions of a conserved momentum.

Solitary-wave vortices in quadratic nonlinear media [PDF]
We find families of vortex solitary waves in bulk quadratic nonlinear media under conditions for second-harmonic generation. We show that the vortex solitary waves are azimuthally unstable and that they decay into sets of stable spatial solitons.

Exploring Pb‐Chelation Chemistry in the Crystallization Dynamics of Halide Perovskites
A mechanism of how Pb‐chelation chemistry governs coordination geometry and initial nucleation behavior at the precursor level of halide perovskite, by regulating the deprotonation state of a chelating additive, is elucidated. This allows for innovative reaction‐system design principles that promote coherent growth while suppressing defect formation in
